The open beta begins when the features below ship. The alpha already covers the full author → publish → install loop; the beta rounds out the ecosystem.

Planned

command
Check installed facets for newer versions, surface what changed, and let you choose which updates to apply. Today, re-run facet add <name> to move a facet to a new version.
command
Show a published facet’s metadata, versions, and assets straight from the registry, without installing it.
format
A facet that declares facets: [...] composes text from other published facets. The manifest format reserves the field today; installs reject it until server-side composition ships.
format
Facets will be able to reference MCP servers so a single install can wire up tools as well as text. The manifest reserves a servers field today; declarations warn at install and are not materialized.

Hardening

Beyond features, the beta gate includes registry policy maturity (review queues, name reservations), CLI surface stability, and documentation completeness. See the stable release criteria for what comes after.
